MEDC XB15 5/10/15/21 Joule Explosion Proof Xenon Beacon Range

In hazardous environments, clarity and durability aren’t optional - they’re critical. The XB15 explosion-proof beacon delivers reliable visual signaling for oil, gas, and petrochemical operations, whether onshore, offshore, or at sea.

The flagship XB15 range of Xenon explosion-proof beacons is available in 5, 10, 15, and 21 Joule options. The range now centres around a new universal base for greater application flexibility and simplified ordering (ATEX and IECEx certified; UL certification pending).

Improved standard features include a customer-removable guard, upgraded mounting hardware, and swappable lens covers to reduce spares inventory and enable easy relocation. Users can select the appropriate lens colour to indicate procedures, processes underway, or emergency alerts. 

The beacon housing is manufactured entirely from UV-stable, glass-reinforced polyester (GRP), making it lightweight, corrosion-free, and highly durable. Each unit includes a supervisory diode and four-wire lead connections for reliable alarm integration.

In addition to the standard worldwide certificates, EN54-23 and SIL2* are both now available.
